Fencesitter run jewellery-making workshops at a variety of local Melbourne venues. Our workshops vary in difficulty, but even our most challenging workshops are aimed at beginners. Out current rotation includes charm necklaces/bracelets, pearl huggies + necklaces and bag charms. Don't think of yourself to be crafty? We beg to differ. Giving people something to make with their hands usually means the conversation takes care of itself. We run workshops of different sizes/vibes to suit a variety of social and sensory preferences. Come solo. Leave with one of a kind jewellery and probably a few new numbers in your phone.

I love hosting and curating pretty spaces for people to connect in :) · Adelaide, Melbourne

I started fencesitter (by accident) in 2017, when I decided to try replicating the Picasso-style face earrings I kept seeing at every chain store in Adelaide. Armed with pliers and Bunnings fencing wire, I developed my own craft and style and started selling bespoke wire earrings at local markets. During covid I couldn't stop making jewellery and couldn't stop thinking other people should be doing it too. Eventually I started running workshops, and the workshops have become the part I love the most. I also love to host a good dinner party, so fencesitter events are satisfying for me for a number of reasons. I moved to Melbourne in early 2025 and fencesitter moved with me! I’m always keen to make new connections and understand how intimidating it can feel putting yourself out there.
