a book club, technically. Once a month I bake too much, pick a book, and invite 20 strangers into my apartment. Coffee, wine, cake, and yaps. It starts at the book and ends with attachment styles and lore dropping. You don't have to finish the book. You do need an opinion and a serious appetite {sparkNotes count) Nobody leaves on time. I moved back to Melbourne after five years away and had to grow my village from scratch. Making friends as an adult is weird. Everyone wants connection, and nobody wants to go first. So I went first. Raised in a brown house, so force-feeding people is my love language. And the only thing I love more than reading and baking is yapping. So this is the intersection of all my favourite things, and conveniently how I’ve met some of my favourite people in this city too.
