What we’re about
No pressure, no pretension — just good reads and easy conversation. This book club is for people who enjoy reading, but don’t want rigid rules or homework. Some weeks we’ll talk about what we’re currently reading, other weeks we’ll follow a loose theme or let the conversation wander. The idea came from realising that some of the best conversations happen around books we’ve been meaning to read — often over a drink, in a comfortable setting. Come with a book, come without one. Read, listen, discuss, or just enjoy the atmosphere. Wine and food are available on the night, with a discount for book club attendees.

František Kadlec
Book lover and conversation host, creating a relaxed space for people to meet over books.
I started this book club because some of the best conversations I’ve had have come from books — often the ones we’ve been meaning to read but never quite got around to. The idea here is simple: a welcoming, low-pressure space where people can bring a book they’re enjoying (or just come along), talk, listen, and spend a relaxed evening together. There’s no fixed reading list and no expectations — just good conversation, a comfortable setting, and the option of food or a glass of wine if you feel like it.
