Sending Flowers
The weekly run club for everyone.
We’re the run club in the Arts District. The name is the point: people get their flowers here, whether that's a PB or just showing up on a rough week. Runs leave Currently Running studios every Tues at 7pm. There's also track at Cal State LA, Saturday trail runs, and the odd field trip out to Venice or the west side. One rule: no runner left behind. There's always a sweep at the back, captains say hi to new faces, and last gets cheered as loud as first. Come solo - most people did the first time.

Meet the host
I’m born and raised in LA, and met JonJon and Carlos at Koreatown Run Club four years ago. When we started Sending Flowers, we had one rule: no runner left behind. A newcomer gets greeted by a captain before their first mile, and the back of the pack gets the loudest cheers. 3 months in, 75 people showed up on a Tuesday night, and it still feels like a village. Running is the means, but the people are the point. Whatever pace you bring, I’ll be giving you your flowers while you’re standing right in front of me.
