Birdwatching at Plenty Gorge, Bundoora 📅 Date: Sunday, 23 August 2026 🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM The first birdwatching meetup is officially locked in! We'll enjoy a relaxed morning exploring Plenty Gorge, Bundoora spotting local birds, taking photos, and meeting fellow nature lovers. What to expect - A leisurely walk with frequent stops to observe birds. - Suitable for beginners and experienced birdwatchers alike. - Plenty of opportunities for wildlife photography and learning about local birdlife. - A short snack and water break during the morning. What to bring - Water - Snacks - Comfortable walking shoes - Binoculars (optional) - Camera (optional) No binoculars or telephoto camera? No problem! You're still very welcome to join. The goal is to enjoy nature and birdwatching together. Please be aware - We'll meet at the designated meeting spot at 8:00 AM (meeting point will be shared before the event). - Please arrive 10–15 minutes early if possible. - This is a relaxed community meetup, so everyone attends at their own risk. - Please take all rubbish home and help keep the park clean. - Weather: The forecast looks good at the moment. If anything changes closer to the date, I'll post an update here. After the walk, anyone who's interested is welcome to join for a coffee or brunch nearby.
