Announcing… Kara’s Lounge… in Melbourne! 🤩

Born and raised in Melbourne, Alec started Kara's Home (named after his cat) by turning his Sydney home into a home cafe where friends could gather over drinks and pastries. Over a year and a half later it's grown into a series of community events and markets, even getting a feature in Good Food.

Now he's coming home. Alec is bringing Kara's Home back to Melbourne for the very first time, and just like his Sydney events, he's bringing together local brands and creatives to share a space where people can connect, sip matcha, and have a little fun — hosted at Phoebe’s Studio in Brunswick East.

A specialty drinks menu curated by Kara’s Home featuring Melbourne-based matcha from Lazy Matcha, and Sydney-based premium East Asian teas from CHAWU Tea. All milk-based drinks are fuelled by Australian-owned MILKLAB. Expect Osmanthus Matcha Cloud, Osmanthus Milk Tea, and your classic Matcha Latte.
