1000 steps Kakoda Hike/Walk
🥾 Spontaneous Hike – 1000 Steps!
Born out of the Bayside Hike Club chat, thought we’d get a spontaneous hike going!
Let’s head out to the 1000 Steps Walk in the Dandenong Ranges, described by Parks Victoria as “probably Melbourne’s most popular bushwalk.” It’s a steep but scenic walk through lush rainforest, with some lovely views along the way.
The standard loop takes around 1–1.5 hours, with options to extend the hike if we’re feeling adventurous. We’ll assume the standard route for now and can discuss extending it in the chat.
It’s roughly a 40–60 minute drive from Melbourne CBD, and I’m sure we can arrange some carpooling if needed

Just moved to Melb, from sydney and spent the last few years nomading. Pretty sporty, run my own business and love to meet like minded friends ideally to cowork with and share in a bit of inspiration.
