Cultural potluck!?

Cultural food gathering

Make a cultural potluck meal to share with family and new friends?? I’m extremely interested in other cultures, but not sure how to meet these people , as I only go to work and come home. I’m not a part of any social groups, and I’d really like to meet some people who love to cook and share their culture as an Australian. I don’t feel like I have much of a culture here or any traditions. Would love to hear about a Chinese New Year tradition or maori traditions/ food! My only tradition is gingerbread cookies at Christmas, I’d love to hear others traditions and form a connection with new friends
