Hike: Point Nepean Loop

Saturday, 10th January, from 10:00 PM

What to expect

Chill coastal hike

New year = new hikes, and I've been meaning to do this one for a hot minute. Weather forecast for Sunday 11th is a lovely 25 degrees so should be perfect for a coastal hike. This loop is 13.2km on flat land, should be a relaxed 3.5-4 hours of walking. We will pass Harold Holt's memorial and the beach where he disappeared, WWII-era bunkers, and of course coastal views (and maybe even echidnas or kangaroos). Trail start is approximately 1.5 hours from Melbourne CBD at the far end of the Mornington Peninsula, so aiming to start at 9:00. I will be driving down from Carlton/CBD and can carpool if anyone wants to join. As with all hikes, highly suggest to bring sunscreen, hat, water, and a light rain jacket (it's Victoria).
