Lunch Time Poetry - South West
Poetry, lunch and new local friends
We’ll meet at 11am outside of Carnes Hill Library with coffee or tea, then take turns sharing either a favourite poem or something we’ve written recently. After that, we’ll do a short writing exercise together. Once everyone has finished sharing, anyone who is free is welcome to join me for lunch at Black Elk Café, just next door. I already run a similar poetry gathering in the city, so feel free to message me if you’d like to hear about that one too. I’d really love to meet more local writers and hopefully make some new friends in the process. The vision is to make this a, monthly meetup where South West Sydney writers can connect and indulge in a little poetry on a Sunday morning and build friendships over lunch :)

Meet the planner
I moved to Austral about a year ago and still have no idea how to make friends locally, so I’m hoping Butter helps me meet a couple of good people nearby :) A few things I love, in no particular order: writing poetry, making music, trying new cafés, tea, deep conversations, flowers and chess. Honestly, I’m down for almost anything. I’m just getting a little tired of travelling all the way into the city to make friends haha.
