Jazz & friends in the city 🎶

Kicking off this year’s Melbourne International Jazz Festival is the annual Second Line Street party. Let’s meet at Code Black Coffee Queensbridge for coffee (optional), introductions and a yap before joining the party! From the event site: New Orleans legends of the Second line, Rebirth Brass Band make their long-awaited Australian debut — leading a joyous and jumping musical march along the Yarra. Channelling the same spontaneous and ecstatic all-in parades seen in the streets of New Orleans, this 8-piece, all-star brass band is guaranteed to get you moving. If you feel like funkin’ it up, put on your beads, bright clothing and marching shoes and join in the fun! The party continues at Fed Square with an afternoon of free performances from Rebirth Brass Band, BIGYUKI and Allysha Joy. Please try to meet us at the cafe before we join the party at 12:45pm as it will be very busy and loud once the music begins and we won’t be able to find you. ——— 🎟️ Free event 🍷 Coffee available Code Black Coffee Queensbridge (optional) ——— 🦼Accessibility details Street party: The route is step-free and is just under 1km.
