Decide who’s on the chopping board!
One of my favourite games in high school was Mafia (the game where you’re either a civilian, a nurse or a member of the mafia). I’d play it all the time with my friends during bludge classes or with strangers at house parties. It always brought a lot of laughs and unexpected friendships!
I thought it’d be fun to organise a game of Mafia at Prince Alfred Park, next to Central Station, and see if anyone would be down to help me relive high school for a Saturday afternoon.
I think games are a great way to bring people together!
I’d be so happy to narrate, or if someone else wanted to narrate, that could be cool too. If you’ve never played before, don’t worry! We can go through the rules together.
We could all bring some snacks to place in the middle of our circle.
I’m thinking somewhere in the realm of 10 to 15 people!
What’s the vibe?
Super casual! Just a bunch of people sitting in a circle, playing Mafia, having a laugh and hopefully making some new friends along the way!

Meet the planner
A few things I love, in no particular order: writing poetry, making music, trying new cafés, tea, deep conversations, flowers and chess. Honestly, I’m down for almost anything. I would really like to meet some new people and hopefully leave 2026 with a few more friends! Full time youth worker if that’s relatable for anyone 🤣 And I’m also writing a book (55k words in 🤪) in case anyone else here is doing the same and would like to talk!
