Meet the best humans & maybe play footy?

A relaxed info night for anyone curious about playing women’s footy (AFL) with South Melbourne Districts, based in Albert Park. Learn about what it’s like playing footy with us, but also get to know the coach & some of the players, and see if you might wanna join us! If you’d like, there’s an optional, low-key kick with current players from 6:30pm. At 7:30pm, we’ll head into the clubrooms to hear from the coach, meet some of the team, and talk through what a season at the Bloods looks like. It’s designed as a no-pressure way to get a feel for the club, meet the people, and see whether it might be something you’d like to be part of — now or in the future. The question I get asked most is if it’s ok if you’ve never played or don’t have the fitness- and YES we’d genuinely love to have you down if you want to come down! I came down with no fitness, footy knowledge or experience 5 years ago. Men are also welcome at the Bloods but this particular event is for senior womens players.
