🚶 Coffee Crawl — Fitzroy 🕚 Arrive: Sunday at 11:00am (Walk starts at 11:30am) 📍 Start: Halaya Café, Spring St, Melbourne 🍺 Finish: Railway Hotel, Fitzroy North — ☕ This week’s plan This one starts in the city and ends firmly in the inner north, with a lot of good stuff in between. We kick off at Halaya on Spring St, a Filipino-inspired café with an outdoor courtyard that’s a little different to your usual flat white spot. From there we head up through Carlton Gardens past the Royal Exhibition Building and across into Brunswick St. We drift north through Fitzroy and into Edinburgh Gardens, which on a Sunday morning is basically Melbourne at its most Melbourne. Big open lawns, a rotunda, dogs, locals, the lot. We finish along the leafy Janet Millman Reserve trail before landing at the Railway Hotel in Fitzroy North for a well-earned beer and reportedly the best parma in the north. This is a social, welcoming group — perfect if you enjoy getting outside, meeting new people, and exploring Melbourne.
