Overnight Camps, views, laughs.

Overnight hike 29th - 30th August Happy to car pool, either from Melbourne (I’m bayside) or somewhere closer to trailhead to save on mountain entry fees and/fuel costs. Plan is to meet at TBJ to hire snow shoes or xc ski’s if you prefer, then set off to Geelong Grammar Hut mid-morning Saturday, set up camp and then go for a wander, sunset at Mt Stirling Summit and then head to the hut to hang out with any others camping there, eat some food and head to bed. Sunrise from camp was pretty epic last time I did this, so I’ll be awake for that hopefully! Breakfast at camp, a bit of an explore around the mountain, and then head back down the to the cars for mid-afternoon. Please note that it is cold up there and adequate warm clothes, equipment, water and nutrition is needed. I’m happy to give guidance but I am not an expert and will not take any responsibility for anyone else’s gear, this is not a guided tour. Everyone’s safety and warmth is up to them.

I’m happiest setting up camp somewhere, but also enjoy the bright lights of the city and the excellent food it has to offer!
