Melbourne Book Swap Picnic
A cute bookish hangout ♥️
You are invited to another Melbourne Book Swap Picnic! A cute and whimsical event, where we can all meet likeminded bookish people, and swap books with each other ♥️ What to bring: - a book, wrapped in brown paper and labelled with some hints of what it is - a picnic blanket and some snacks to share - friends if you would like, but you are very welcome to come by yourself 🫶🏼 How does the book swapping work? - everyone places their wrapped book in a pile when they arrive - when you arrive, there will be small pieces of paper to write your name on, which will then be put into a bucket - names will be drawn out at random to decide the order of who gets to pick books first Can I bring more than one book? - yes, you sure can, but preferably no more than 4 so things don’t get too crazy! - if you bring more than one book, put you name into the bucket for each book you brought with you - you will not be able to choose all your books at once from the pile, you will get to pick one each time your name is pulled from the bucket Can I bring a pre-loved book/does the book have to be new? - no it does not have to be a new book! -however, please make sure the books you bring are in good condition, not too many creases, marks etc ♥️ Notes on weather: Unfortunately I do not have an indoor backup space to hold the book swap! If rain is forecast it will still go ahead (because normally the forecast is wrong 😂) but if it truly is bucketing down on the day, I will have to cancel. Unless of course, we all meet with massive umbrellas, which I would be very open to.
This plan's popular: 20 people have joined in the last 24 hours; another 2 have saved it. We'd jump in now.
