What happens when you look a stranger in the eyes?

Most people don't know. We clock someone for about three seconds and then one of us looks away - it's so automatic we never notice we're doing it.

On Sunday 27 September we're putting a room of people together.

You sit across from someone. you hold eye contact. No talking, no gestures. Then you switch.

It's uncomfortable for the first minute or two. Then it isn't.

You can look away whenever you want - most people do, at least once.

No experience needed. Come alone or bring someone. Talking happens afterwards, and after silence with a stranger it comes surprisingly easily.
