Sanatorium Lake & Camel’s Hump
Who’s up for a crisp morning hike? 🙋♂️
Join me this Saturday morning for a peaceful walk through one of the most beautiful forest areas near Melbourne. This walk takes us through the peaceful Sanatorium Lake area before heading up to Camel’s Hump, where we’ll be rewarded with sweeping views over Mount Macedon and the surrounding ranges if it’s not too foggy! The trail is roughly 9km should take around 3 hours to complete at a relaxed group pace, with time for breaks and photos along the way! Expect lush forest, mossy tracks, ferny sections and a few steady climbs, so a good level of fitness is recommended. 📅 Saturday 30th May ⏰ 9am–12pm 📍 Mt Macedon, Victoria ➡️ 9km / approx. 3 hours 🥾 Moderate level 🎟️ Ticket Price: $20 donation to Wildlife Victoria There are limited tickets available and it’s first in first serve, so get in quick! 🙏 Please be aware that participants are responsible for their own safety throughout the walk. The terrain can be uneven in parts, with some inclines and muddy sections possible, so appropriate footwear is essential. Please also bring your own snacks and water for the duration of the hike. 😊

As one of the many Melbournians who survived covid, I saw firsthand how the isolation and border closures impacted people’s mental state. Inspired to make a positive change, I started sharing easy and accessible adventures close to the city on Instagram to encourage people to get outside and explore their own backyard. The page quickly grew and I now travel full-time sharing adventures to hopefully inspire others to discover the natural beauty of Australia!
