Bring Your Own Book - The Game
Bookclub meets games night
Note: recreated this event as per the previous event group chat. Has anyone heard of a game called 'Bring Your Own Book'? It's like Cards Against Humanity, but instead of cards for responses to prompts, everyone has their own book from which they choose their response. Eg., everyone brings a book they have recently read or are familiar with. Someone reads out a prompt like 'a phrase found in a fortune cookie,' and everyone quickly searches for the best match in their book. Then we each go around to share our answer, and the person who read out the prompt decides who wins the round. The potential I see with this is having a variety of books: non-fiction, fiction, serious or casual, high fantasy or a cookbook, dark themes or lighter tones. Everyone's answers could be vastly different, or maybe by some fluke, they end up being in the same ballpark Plus, it's a fun way of sharing a favorite book with people and being able to take things out of context. Bring yourselves, your book and $2! The $2 entry per participant to cover room hire costs. Open to people bringing plus ones, but on the day all participants will need to pay $2 upon arrival. Either in cash or Pay ID. We will be in the Assembly room of the Boyd Community Hub.

Meet the planner
If I'm not whipping up a new creation in the the kitchen, you'll probably find me organising something or reading a book. I love listening to people talk about things they are passionate about. Special interests include snowboarding, potlucks, board games, pottery, reading and picnics. See the pics below for some of the adventures I've had so far in the past year ๐
