playtime book club: Operation Bounce House

after realising a lot of our members are big readers, we've decided to set up a lil book club (not sure how regular these will be, testing the waters for now). the focus will be on fun books with cool worldbuilding (basically what resonates with gamers!)

for the remainder of june we're reading Operation Bounce House (OBH) by Matt Dinniman, then meeting up to yap about it over brunch at Operator Diner.

Oliver and his friends find themselves fighting for their lives against machines piloted by gamers who’ve paid a premium for the privilege. With the help of an old book from his grandfather and a bucket of rusty parts, Oliver is determined to defend the only home he’s ever known.

you might have heard of Dinniman's popular Dungeon Crawler Carl (DCC) series. unlike DCC, OBH is a standalone sci-fi novel.
