🎄 BHC Xmas Social: Sherbrooke Forest & Pub Lunch 🍻

Let’s wrap up the year with a festive BHC catch-up! We’ll kick things off with a beautiful forest hike through the Dandenong Ranges before heading to the pub for some food, drinks and Christmas cheer (if you want to dress for the occasion there may be a prize). 🥾🎅

🌿 The Hike

📍 Sherbrooke Forest, Dandenong Ranges

🥾 Distance: 6.7 km

⛰️ Elevation gain: 279 m

⏱️ Allow around 2-2.5 hours

We’ll follow the Lyrebird Walk, Neuman, Paddy and Coles Ridge Loop, winding through beautiful fern gullies and towering mountain ash forest. Keep an eye out for lyrebirds along the way!

🍻 Christmas Pub Lunch

After the hike, we’ll head to Micawber Tavern for a well-earned pub lunch and a chance to relax, have a drink and get to know fellow BHC members.

🎁 Your first drink is on me! I try to keep these events free but with organising a restaurant booking near Christmas it’s a bit tricky. Your $20 booking fee helps cover the commitment of securing our group booking. As the venue charges me for no-shows, this fee helps ensure everyone who RSVPs is committed to coming along.

👥 Limited spots: Capped at 18 people so we can keep it social and make sure everyone gets a chance to reflect on all the great hikes we’ve been on.

A great way to finish the year with fresh air, good company and a festive drink! 🎄🥾🍻 If you don’t want to drive there is a station reasonably close at Belgrave.

BHC Members who have done 1+ hikes will get priority.
