Build your skills & build confidence!
Ever thought about giving AFL footy a go? Or just looking for a fun way to meet new people and get active? South Melbourne Districts Football Club is hosting free Come & Try sessions for women and gender-diverse people who are new to footy, returning after a break or coming from another sport. No experience or fitness level required! We’ll spend 30 minutes learning some basic skills, having a kick and getting to know each other in a relaxed, supportive environment. Then if you’d like you can join in proper training from 6:30 at your own pace. Whether you’re keen to join a team or just curious about giving footy a try, we’d love to have you along! Saturdays are for footy, but the rest of my weekends are a mix of theatre trips, the occasional gig, and trying something completely new. I don’t drink, so I’m all about experiences—whether that’s learning a new skill, exploring a hidden corner of Melbourne, or heading to a fun local event. There’s always something happening in this city, and I’m keen to make the most of it.
