Brown Women Hiking

Sun 5 Jul3:30am – 6:30am

Get outside and make the most of winter.

There’s such a special magic of colder weather, join us for a winter bushwalk alongside other women of colour and friends (everyone is welcome). According to the Wurundjeri calendar, it's Waring season, the time of year when mornings are misty, wombats are out lazing and grazing, lyrebirds are partying, and multilingual fungi are popping up to say hello, g'day, namaskar, aadab… Bring along a snack, we'll aim to walk with plenty of breaks in between. All fitness levels are welcome. We'll be moving together gently, with the intention of connecting to land and each other. Details: Meeting time: 1:30pm Finish time: 4:30pm Length: Approx. 5-6km Meeting point: TBC (nearby Warrandyte) There are limited free registrations for first timers from Butter -- all future hikes are paid (via a tax deductible donation on humantix) and this sustains our organisation which has been around for 5 years.

Meet the planner

I run brown women comedy & a community for South Asian women. I curate gatherings and love being part of them. Currently I’m interested in exploring spirituality, meditation, writing, creativity, building side hustles and living meaningfully
