What to expect

A Low Stakes Book Club - Meetup 1! (May)

Low Stakes Book Club meets twice each month: 1st Saturday & 4th Saturday. Members are expected to commit to both meetups for the month they join. A little side note 🍀 I’ll post a new plan each month so new people can join. If you join for May, the expectation is that you commit to that month and attend both meetups. There’s no pressure to commit to every month after that! You only commit again if you join the next plan. The goal is to make reading feel fun, and not like a chore 🥹🫶🏼 Meetup 1: Book Pick Meetup 📚 We choose the month’s book together using a fun jar system. First, we draw a random genre. Then everyone suggests one book that fits that they’ve been wanting to read and gives a short pitch. We shuffle the choices and draw one winner. Meetup 2: Book Discussion Meetup 😆🫶🏼 After everyone has had time to read, we meet again to discuss the book using discussion prompts drawn from a jar. We share favourite moments, characters, thoughts, and what we liked or disliked!
