Champagne and Dumplings

I’ve spent the last decade in the wine industry - marketing it, making it, and most importantly, sharing it. Lately, my cellar has been looking a little overcrowded, so I figured I'd plan a wine night or two to pour and talk through some favourites. First up: Champagne and dumplings. Still confirming with the venue and date, but it'll likely be at Hutong, one of Melbourne's best spots for Northern Chinese cuisine. One of my all-time pairings is Xiaolongbao with Champagne, and for this first event I’ll be opening six sparkling wines from around the world—from Tasmanian NV to vintage Champagne. Tickets are $58, which goes toward covering the wines being poured and the venue's BYO charge. You'll get to try a selection of wines valued at over $600 in total. Each guest will get the equivalent of at least three glasses all served in proper stemware (yes, I’ll be lugging it along myself). The cost above is for wine only. Food is to be sorted as a group on the evening.
