Once a month I bake too much and invite strangers (and repeat snackers) into my apartment and we call it book club.
August pick: Home Fire, Kamila Shamsie. A modern Antigone, a sister choosing loyalty to her brother over loyalty to the state, and a love story that makes that choice so much worse.
As always, no pressure to finish the book, just a good appetite and energy to yap is all you need.
11am on a Saturday so you can sleep in or have a cheeky morning run first (both valid). We talk as long as it takes and nobody leaves on time (I'm very proud of that.)
