July is the magical season of Tanabata (the Japanese Star Festival) and summer Matsuri (festivals) in Japan. To bring those cozy, nostalgic Japanese festival vibes to Sydney, we are hosting a special, creative afternoon where you can handcraft your very own traditional lantern! 🎋✨

In Japan, these glowing lanterns symbolize lighting up our paths and guiding our wishes to the stars. As we gather, we’ll be crafting beautiful lanterns together, sharing stories of star-crossed lovers, and celebrating the warm connections we’re building right here in Sydney. 🌸🌟

What we’ll do:

We’ll spend the afternoon crafting, socializing, and getting creative! There’s something magically relaxing about working with paper and watching your creation come to life—it's the ultimate ice-breaker. You'll share laughs, help each other out, and leave with your own beautiful, glowing masterpiece to light up your room! 🎨📐

🧰 What to Bring: > To help make the crafting smooth, please bring your own box cutter and a ruler! (Craft mat as well if you can) All other materials and LED lights will be provided by Sakkie.

☕️ Support Our Venue To support the wonderful local cafe hosting us, I kindly ask everyone to purchase a drink or some food during the session. They have amazing fresh food and great coffee, so it’s the perfect way to enjoy our afternoon!
