Hike | Erskine Falls and Straw Falls from Lorne (Hard)

What to expect

River crossing hike

This is a hard hike! Please ensure you are prepared and have been to a few hikes. We will be doing multiple river crossings so you’ll need to have appropriate shoes. We will be leaving Lorne at 8 am. 15.3 kms, 5ish hours, 446m elevation. This walk follows the Erskine River for the entirety of the walk. Park on Erskine Ave, then head to the caravan park across the river. Go straight through the caravan park until you come to a park that signifies the start of the walk. There are 16 river crossings in total, so trekking poles will come in handy. The track is generally open and straightforward, but there is a bit of a scramble at the end near the falls to keep things interesting.
