Book Club? Nah homie — Chess Club.

Third Sunday is now Rook Sunday. We're once again heading to Naughton's Parkville, one of Melbourne's great pubs, who've kindly offered a space for a low-stakes afternoon of chess and chats. The format is loose. Bring a board if you have one, show up if you don't. Play a few games, grab a round, talk nonsense between moves. It's as much about getting people together as it is about the game. Low pressure, easy afternoon, genuinely good fun - whether you're a complete beginner, a seasoned player, or just someone who enjoys the odd game or two. There'll be a few laughs, some questionable moves, and shit chess puns. The table is ours for the whole evening, folks are welcome to stick around and share a feed if keen!
